أَخْبَرَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ بِشْرَ بْنَ مَرْوَانَ رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ فَسَبَّهُ عُمَارَةُ بْنُ رُوَيْبَةَ الثَّقَفِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقال:‏‏‏‏ مَا زَادَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى هَذَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَشَارَ بِإِصْبَعِهِ السَّبَّابَةِ .

Bishr bin Marwan raised his hands on Friday on the minbar, and 'Umarah bin Ruwaibah رضی اللہ عنہ condemned him and said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) did no more than this,' and he pointed with his forefinger.
