أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ الْأَشْعَثِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ زَهْدَمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ عَلِيًّا اسْتَخْلَفَ أَبَا مَسْعُودٍ عَلَى النَّاسِ فَخَرَجَ يَوْمَ عِيدٍ،‏‏‏‏ فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ،‏‏‏‏ إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ مِنَ السُّنَّةِ أَنْ يُصَلَّى قَبْلَ الْإِمَامِ .
