أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ عَطَاءٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَلِيًّا الْأَزْدِيَّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يُحَدِّثُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ صَلَاةُ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى ،‏‏‏‏ قال أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ عِنْدِي خَطَأٌ وَاللَّهُ تَعَالَى أَعْلَمُ.

He heard Ali Al-Azdi (say) that he heard Ibn Umar narrate that: The Prophet (ﷺ) said: The prayers of the night and day are two by two. Abu Abdur Rahman (An-Nasa'i) said: This Hadith to me, is a mistake, and Allah, most high, knows best.
