أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الزُّهْرِيُّ الْبَصْرِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَمْرٍو، ‏‏‏‏‏‏سَمِعَ جَابِرًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ وَكَانَ الْعَبَّاسُ بِالْمَدِينَةِ فَطَلَبَتِ الْأَنْصَارُ ثَوْبًا يَكْسُونَهُ فَلَمْ يَجِدُوا قَمِيصًا يَصْلُحُ عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا قَمِيصَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أُبَيٍّ فَكَسَوْهُ إِيَّاهُ .

And Al-'Abass رضی اللہ عنہ was in Al-Madinah, and he asked the Ansar for a garment to clothe him in, but they could not find a shirt that would fit him except the shirt of 'Abdullah bin Ubayy, so they clothed him in it.
