أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَمْرٍو، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ وَسَأَلْنَاهُ عَنْ رَجُلٍ قَدِمَ مُعْتَمِرًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَطَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَمْ يَطُفْ بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ أَيَأْتِي أَهْلَهُ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَمَّا قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَطَافَ سَبْعًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَصَلَّى خَلْفَ الْمَقَامِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَطَافَ بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ،‏‏‏‏ وَقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ .

I head Ibn Umar رضی اللہ عنہما say - When we asked him about a man who came for Umrah, and perfomed Tawaf around the House, but did not perform Sai between As-Safa and al-Marwah, could he be intimate with his wife? He said: 'When the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم came, he circumambulated seven times, and prayed two Rakahs behind the Maqam, and performed Sai between As-Safa and Al-Marwah. And you have the best examples in the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم.'
