أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَنْبَأَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا جَابِرٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ إِلَى الصَّفَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَبْدَأُ بِمَا بَدَأَ اللَّهُ بِهِ ،‏‏‏‏ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةَ مِنْ شَعَائِرِ اللَّهِ [سورة البقرة آية 158].

Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم went out to As-Safa and said. We will start with that with which Allah started. Then he recited: 'Verifly, as-Safa and Al-Marwah (two Mountains in Makkah) are of the symbols of Allah.'
