أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ نَاجِيَةَ بْنِ خُفَافٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَمَّارِ بْنِ يَاسِرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ أَجْنَبْتُ وَأَنَا فِي الْإِبِلِ فَلَمْ أَجِدْ مَاءً، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَتَمَعَّكْتُ فِي التُّرَابِ تَمَعُّكَ الدَّابَّةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ بِذَلِكَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّمَا كَانَ يَجْزِيكَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ التَّيَمُّمُ .

I became Junub while I was on a camel and I could not find any water, so I rolled in the dust like an animal. I came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and told him about that, and he said: 'Tayammum would have been sufficient for you.'
