أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ حُرَيْثٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنْ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ وَاقِدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: خَطَبَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ، وَعُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا فَاطِمَةَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: إِنَّهَا صَغِيرَةٌ، فَخَطَبَهَا عَلِيٌّ، فَزَوَّجَهَا مِنْهُ .
