أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ فُلَيْتٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ جَسْرَةَ بِنْتِ دَجَاجَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ مَا رَأَيْتُ صَانِعَةَ طَعَامٍ مِثْلَ صَفِيَّةَ أَهْدَتْ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَاءً فِيهِ طَعَامٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَمَا مَلَكْتُ نَفْسِي أَنْ كَسَرْتُهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَسَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ كَفَّارَتِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَاءٌ كَإِنَاءٍ وَطَعَامٌ كَطَعَامٍ .

"I never saw any woman who made food like Safiyyah رضی اللہ عنہا. She sent a dish to the Prophet in which was some food, and I could not keep myself from breaking it. I asked the Prophet what the expiation was for that, and he said: 'A dish like that dish, and food like that food.'"
