أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ الْوَلَدُ لِلْفِرَاشِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلِلْعَاهِرِ الْحَجَرُ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ:‏‏‏‏ وَلَا أَحْسَبُ هَذَا عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَاللَّهُ تَعَالَى أَعْلَمُ.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: The child is the bed's, and for the fornicator is the stone. Abu 'Abdu--Rahman) (An-Nasa'i) said: I do not think that this is from 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud, and Allah, Most High, knows best.
