أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، عَنْ خَالِدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ: كَانَتْ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَاقَةٌ تُسَمَّى الْعَضْبَاءَ، لَا تُسْبَقُ فَجَاءَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ عَلَى قَعُودٍ، فَسَبَقَهَا فَشَقَّ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِينَ، فَلَمَّا رَأَى مَا فِي وُجُوهِهِمْ قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، سُبِقَتِ الْعَضْبَاءُ، قَالَ: إِنَّ حَقًّا عَلَى اللَّهِ أَنْ لَا يَرْتَفِعَ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا شَيْءٌ إِلَّا وَضَعَهُ .
