أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ شُعَيْبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ الزُّهْرِيُّ:‏‏‏‏ كَانَ ابْنُ الْمُسَيَّبِ يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ لَيْسَ بِاسْتِكْرَاءِ الْأَرْضِ بِالذَّهَبِ وَالْوَرِقِ بَأْسٌ،‏‏‏‏ وَكَانَ رَافِعُ بْنُ خَدِيجٍ يُحَدِّثُ:‏‏‏‏ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ نَهَى عَنْ ذَلِكَ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَافَقَهُ عَلَى إِرْسَالِهِ عَبْدُ الْكَرِيمِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ.

'Ibn Al-Musayyab used to say: 'There is nothing wrong with leasing land in return for gold and silver, and Rafi bin Khadij رضی اللہ عنہ used to narrate that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade that.'' 'Abdul-Karim bin Al-Harith was in accord in his narrating it in Mawaqif form.
