أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، سَمِعَ جَابِرًا، يَقُولُ: لَمْ نُبَايِعْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى الْمَوْتِ، إِنَّمَا بَايَعْنَاهُ عَلَى، أَنْ لَا نَفِرَّ .
