أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ فَأْرَةً وَقَعَتْ فِي سَمْنٍ،‏‏‏‏ فَمَاتَتْ فَسُئِلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ،‏‏‏‏ فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَلْقُوهَا وَمَا حَوْلَهَا وَكُلُوهُ .

A mouse fell into some cooking fat and died. The Prophet ﷺ was asked (about that) and he said: Throw it away, and whatever is around it, and eat (the rest).
