أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ نَافِعٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ،‏‏‏‏ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَيُّمَا امْرِئٍ أَبَّرَ نَخْلًا،‏‏‏‏ ثُمَّ بَاعَ أَصْلَهَا،‏‏‏‏ فَلِلَّذِي أَبَّرَ ثَمَرُ النَّخْلِ،‏‏‏‏ إِلَّا أَنْ يَشْتَرِطَ الْمُبْتَاعُ .

The Prophet ﷺ said: Any man who pollinates a date-palm tree then sells it, the fruits of the tree are for the one who pollinated it, unless the purchaser stipulated otherwise.
