أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ مَرَّةً أُخْرَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَمْرٍو، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَعْلَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ يَعْلَى. وَابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَعْلَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ يَعْلَى أَنَّهُ اسْتَأْجَرَ أَجِيرًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَاتَلَ رَجُلًا،‏‏‏‏ فَعَضَّ يَدَهُ فَانْتُزِعَتْ ثَنِيَّتُهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَخَاصَمَهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَيَدَعُهَا يَقْضَمُهَا كَقَضْمِ الْفَحْلِ .

He hired a worker who fought with a man and bit his hand, and his from tooth fell out. So he referred the dispute to the Prophet ﷺ who said: Do you want to bite his hand as a stallion bites?
