أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ الْأَشْعَثِ بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ يَرْبُوعٍ، قَالَ: أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَتَكَلَّمُ، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، هَؤُلَاءِ بَنُو ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ يَرْبُوعٍ الَّذِينَ أَصَابُوا فُلَانًا، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: لَا يَعْنِي لَا تَجْنِي نَفْسٌ عَلَى نَفْسٍ .
