أَخْبَرَنِي زِيَادُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ غُرَابٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا بَيْهَسُ بْنُ فَهْدَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَنْبَأَنَا أَبُو شَيْخٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ لُبْسِ الذَّهَبِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِلَّا مُقَطَّعًا . قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ:‏‏‏‏ حَدِيثُ النَّضْرِ أَشْبَهُ بِالصَّوَابِ،‏‏‏‏ وَاللَّهُ تَعَالَى أَعْلَمُ.

I heard Ibn 'Umar رضی اللہ عنہما say: 'The Messenger of Allah [ﷺ] forbade wearing gold unless it is broken (into smaller pieces).' Abu 'Abdur-Rahman (An-Nasa'i), said: The Hadith of An-Nadr is more likely what is correct.
