أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ نَصْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ جَدِّهِ مُعَاذٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهُ طَافَ مَعَ مُعَاذِ ابْنِ عَفْرَاءَ فَلَمْ يُصَلِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقُلْتُ:‏‏‏‏ أَلَا تُصَلِّي ؟ فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَا صَلَاةَ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ حَتَّى تَغِيبَ الشَّمْسُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا بَعْدَ الصُّبْحِ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ .

He performed Tawaf with Mu'adh bin 'Afra' رضی اللہ عنہ but he did not pray. I said: 'Are you not going to pray?' He said: 'The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'There is no prayer after 'Asr until the sun has set, nor after Subh until the sun has risen.'
