أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدُ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ طُفَيْلٍ الْجَزَرِيِّ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ كَتَبَ إِلَيْنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ:‏‏‏‏ أَنْ لَا تَشْرَبُوا مِنَ الطِّلَاءِ حَتَّى يَذْهَبَ ثُلُثَاهُ وَيَبْقَى ثُلُثُهُ،‏‏‏‏ وَكُلُّ مُسْكِرٍ حَرَامٌ .

It was narrated that 'Abdul-Malik bin Tufail Al-Jazari said: Umar bin 'Abdul-'Aziz wrote to us (saying): 'Do not drink At-Tila' (thickened grape juice) until two-third of it are gone and one-third remains, and every intoxicant is unlawful.'
