أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْأَشَجّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنِي عُقْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ قال:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَابْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَنَسٍ قال:‏‏‏‏ صَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَبِي بَكْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعُثْمَانَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ فَلَمْ أَسْمَعْ أَحَدًا مِنْهُمْ يَجْهَرُ بِ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ [سورة الفاتحة آية 1] .

I prayed behind the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), Abu Bakr, Umar and Uthman رضی اللہ عنہم and I did not hear any of them say out loud: In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful.
