أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ قال:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ قال:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَجْلَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قال:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّمَا الْإِمَامُ لِيُؤْتَمَّ بِهِ فَإِذَا كَبَّرَ فَكَبِّرُوا وَإِذَا قَرَأَ فَأَنْصِتُوا قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ:‏‏‏‏ كَانَ الْمُخَرِّمِيُّ يَقُولُ هُوَ ثِقَةٌ يَعْنِي مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ.

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'The Imam is appointed to be followed, so when he says the takbir, say the takbir, and when he recites, be silent.' Abu Abdur Rehman said: Al-Mukharrimi would say: He his trustworthy-meaning- Muhammad bin Sad Al-Ansari.
