حَدَّثَنَا هِلَالُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عُثْمَانَ الْبَتِّيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَا فَسَّرَ الْحَسَنُ آيَةً قَطُّ إِلَّا عَنِ الْإِثْبَاتِ .

Al-Hasan never interpreted any Quranic verse but to establish (Divine decree).
