حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ السَّرْحِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الضَّحَّاكِ بْنِ شُرَحْبِيلَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ مَنْ تَعَلَّمَ صَرْفَ الْكَلَامِ لِيَسْبِيَ بِهِ قُلُوبَ الرِّجَالِ أَوِ النَّاسِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏لَمْ يَقْبَلِ اللَّهُ مِنْهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ صَرْفًا وَلَا عَدْلًا .

The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: On the Day of resurrection Allah will not accept repentance or ransom from him who learns excellence of speech to captivate thereby the hearts of men, or of people.
