حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مَالِكٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهُ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَدِمَ رَجُلَانِ مِنَ الْمَشْرِقِ فَخَطَبَا فَ عَجِبَ النَّاسُ يَعْنِي لِبَيَانِهِمَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ مِنَ الْبَيَانِ لَسِحْرًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَوْ إِنَّ بَعْضَ الْبَيَانِ لَسِحْرٌ .

When two men who came from the east made a speech and the people were charmed with their eloquence, the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: In some eloquent speech there is magic.
