حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَعْمَرٍ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَصْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، أَخْبَرَنِي مُوسَى بْنُ أَنَسٍ، قَال:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ، يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَجُلٌ:‏‏‏‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏مَنْ أَبِي ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَبُوكَ فُلَانٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَنَزَلَتْ يَأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لا تَسْأَلُوا عَنْ أَشْيَاءَ إِنْ تُبْدَ لَكُمْ تَسُؤْكُمْ سورة المائدة آية 101 ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ.

Narrated Anas bin Malik: that a man said: O Messenger of Allah! Who is my father? He said: Your father is so-and-so. He said: So (the following) was revealed: O you who believe! Ask not about things which, if made plain to you, may cause you trouble (5:101).
