حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَكِيمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَالِمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَسْلَمَ غَيْلَانُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ وَتَحْتَهُ عَشْرُ نِسْوَةٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ خُذْ مِنْهُنَّ أَرْبَعًا .

“Ghailan bin Salamah رضی اللہ عنہ became Muslim and he had ten wives. The Prophet said to him: 'Choose four of them.' ”
