وعن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه، أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال‏:‏ ‏ "‏إذا قام أحدكم من الليل فليفتتح الصلاة بركعتين خفيفتين‏"‏ ‏(‏‏(‏رواه مسلم‏)‏‏)‏‏.‏

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "When one of you gets up at night to perform (Tahajjud) prayer, let him start Salat with two short Rak'ah." [Muslim].
