وعنه عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال‏:‏ ‏ "‏أحب البلاد إلى الله مساجدها ، وأبغض البلاد إلى الله أسواقها‏"‏ ‏(‏‏(‏رواه مسلم‏)‏‏)‏‏.‏
