وعن أنس، رضي الله عنه ، قال‏:‏ قال رسول الله، صلى الله عليه وسلم، لأبي بن كعب، رضي الله عنه ‏:‏‏ "‏إن الله عز وجل أمرني أن أقرأ عليك‏:‏ لم يكن الذين كفرو‏"‏ قال‏:‏ وسماني‏؟‏ قال‏:‏ “نعم” فبكى أبي‏.‏ ‏(‏‏(‏متفق عليه‏)‏‏)‏ ‏.‏ ‏(‏‏(‏وفي رواية‏:‏ فجعل أبي يبكى‏)‏‏)‏‏.‏

Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to Ubayy bin Ka'b (May Allah be pleased with him), "Allah (SWT) has ordered me to recite to you Surat-Al-Baiyyinah (98): 'Those who disbelieve ..." Ubayy (May Allah be pleased with him) asked, "Did He name me?" Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) replied in the affirmative. Whereupon Ubayy (May Allah be pleased with him) began to weep.
