وعن سمرة بن جندب رضي الله عنه قال‏:‏ قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏:‏ “إن المسألة كد يكد بها الرجل وجهه، إلا أن يسأل الرجل سلطاناً أو في أمر لا بد منه‏"‏ ‏(‏‏(‏رواه الترمذي، وقال‏:‏ حديث حسن صحيح‏)‏‏)‏‏.‏ ‏"‏الكد‏"‏ ‏:‏الخدش ونحوه‏.‏

Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Begging is a cut that a person inflicts upon his face; except for asking a ruler, or under the stress of circumstances from which there is no escape." [At- Tirmidhi, who classified it as Hadith Hasan Sahih].
